ANOTHER STORY HAS IT THAT Willis's mother was an Englishwoman, with the surname Combs, who had Willis by an Indian man with the surname of Sizemore. ANOTHER STORY HAS IT THAT Willis Combs's father was killed in the Civil War, then Willis was adopted by the Sizemore family.
