Sarah's maiden name is unproven,
but McCarty is quite possible.

They were probably related,
but the relationship
hasn't yet been proven

    b: 25 Jan 1758 Shenandoah Co, VA
    d: Feb 1859 Breathitt Co, KY (at age 101)

    ~Jonathan Fugate's Migrations~

    Jonathan applied for a Revolutionary War pension.
    In that application, he said he was born in
    Shenandoah Co, VA,
    25 Jan 1758.

    He was in
    Russell Co, VA,
    for a few years sometime after the War,
    then moved to what was then
    Clay Co, KY
    (later Perry and Breathitt)    .

    He was on the Russell Co, VA, tax lists of
    1799, 1800, 1801 & 1803 but not later.

    He apparently moved to KY about 1804.
    ~Dr. Bock Lists Jonathan's Children~

    In about 1900, a Dr. Bock made a list
    of Jonathan's & Lettie's children from having talked
    to his patients and asking them about their ancestors.
    Trouble is, several of the people on that list can
    be shown to belong to other families.
