Gregory Page, Berkley Hart, Dead Rock West

Welcome to Meeting Grace!

This way in...

As guests to the first show of Meeting Grace house concerts approached the house, there was no mistake which one it was. A large cloth banner displaying the Meeting Grace logo hung from the porch indicating that this was indeed the right place

Following a lighted pathway to the back door, new and old friends entered the warm kitchen greeted by Kate at the door, Katie & Beth, the fantastic chefs, in the kitchen and Lizzie, the hostess.

Chairs were situated in the living room and in the dining room, all with a clear view of the area where the evening's performers would spin their musical tales. No amps were used at all. The microphones set up in front of the musicians was for recording purposes only. The purity of the voice and the guitar and drum came through without a doubt for each act.

Dead Rock West (Frank Drennen & Cindy Wasserman) were joined by Gregory Page for the first set of the night. This remarkable duo, with help from Gregory, filled the rooms with a power and magnificence that moved some listeners close to tears. It was a fabulous start to an incredible evening.

An appreciative crowd applauds Dead Rock West

After a short break, Berkley Hart, another duo made up of Jeff Berkley and Calman Hart, made their way to the stage area. Their unique style, use of the djembe drum and heartfelt lyrics had the crowd begging for more.

Finally, after another short break, it was Gregory Page's turn. His soulful, rich voice enveloped the room in its strains. He was later joined by Frank Drennen and Cindy Wasserman to round up the night.

Guests enjoyed homemade yummies like peanut butter cookies, brownies and banana bread baked by Beth Berkley and Katie Johnson. The intensity and magic of the night created a remarkable precedent for the series. A precedent that all of us involved intend to meet and uphold every show.
