Madeline was born in Lions Gate hospital in Vancouver on January 23, 2002. She is the light and joy of my life although she can be a little pain in the ass as well. She was four days early, and was delivered in a whopping three hours from the start to finish of my labour.
As some people may know, the only way off the penisula where I live is by ferry. When I left Sechelt's hospital I was not in labour, about half way to the ferry my water broke and I was like OMG I am gonna have my baby on the ferry with strangers as my husband was not able to come with me. The ambualance attendents proceeded to tell me that if I did have her on the ferry that I would get free ferry fair for life for her, which may seem like a bonus to some people.
Anyways, Madeline is now 18 months old and a very active toddler. She eats almost anything she can get her hands on and loves to play with our two cats. She brings joy and happiness into my life each day she graces me with her presence, and I would not trade her for anything in the world.
