John Thomas Griffith is a singer songwriter and guitarist born in Lubbock, Texas and raised in the New Orleans area. "Griff" as he's affectionatly called by friends, fans, and his bandmates, led his own band in the early 1980s, Red Rockers playing new wave rock and pop and garnered national exposure on M-TV and opening for acts like U2. Griff put aside Red Rockers for a solo career focusing more on folk and roots music, before joining Cowboy Mouth as lead guitarist.
