| 1999 - DUNCES WIN SECOND TITLE |
After Week 11, the Dunces were
at a record setting 10-1 pace, three games ahead of the second place Zeppelins.
The Dunces lost three of the next five, while the Zeppelins ran off five
wins to pull into a tie with one week to go. But the Dunces pulled
off an exciting 70-62 win in the final week to clinch their second MACCFL
title.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM 1999:

Kurt Warner (Idiots), a fourth round pick (#42), became the
top QB with 230 points. He was the only player to top 200 points
this season.

The Jacksonville Defense (Vipers) won MVP honors, racking
up 300 points and a 91.8 MVP rating. Kurt Warner and Randy Moss were
runners-up with a 90.0 rating.

Edgerrin James (War Mongers), the number one pick in the
draft, topped all other RBs with 178 points.

Randy Moss (Dunces) scored 20 points in the final game to
take top WR honors over teammate Marvin Harrison, 155-152.

The Dunces started the season with six straight wins.
Both the Zeppelins and the Vipers finished the season with six straight
wins.

Eight different QBs scored over 100 points. The previous
high was seven QBs in 1997.

The Rebels won their final game to give them their first
winning season in team history.
LOWLIGHTS FROM 1999:

Injuries cut short the season for Terrell Davis (War Mongers)
and Jamal Anderson (Bootleggers), the top two RBs from last year.

Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison were both traded away
on draft day. Manning, traded by the 101 Boyz, scored 172 points.
Harrison, traded by the Skid Marks, scored 152 points (the Dunces benefited
from both these deals).

The 101 Boyz and the Israelites finished first and second
in 1998, this season they finished 10th and 12th.

RB Barry Sanders (Sea Birds), the fourth-leading scorer in
league history, announced his retirement at the beginning of the season.
