In the matter of
the estate of James H. Macdonald, Deceased.
To Vilna I. MacDonald of the city of
Eliza
S. Macdonald, the administratrix with the will annexed, having died without
having completed the administration of said estate, and you having been
appointed administratrix de bonis non with the will annexed of said estate, the
last will and testament of said deceased having duly admitted to probate in
said court, a copy were of is hereunto annexed, and having given a bond in the
premises which has been duly approved and filed as required by law, I do by
these presents commit unto you full power an authority to administer an
faithfully dispose of, according to law and the will of said deceased, all and
singular, the goods, chattels, rights, credits and estate of said deceased now
remaining unadministered, which shall at any time come to your possession, or
to the possession of any other person for you, and to ask, gather, levy,
recover and receive all the goods, chattels, rights, and credits and estate
whatsoever of the unadministered estate of said deceased, which to him at the
time of his death did belong; and to pay and discharge all debts,
legacies, and charges chargeable on the
same, or such dividends thereon as shall be ordered and decreed by said court;
hereby requiring you to make and return at true and perfect inventory of all
the goods, chattels, rights, credits and real estate of the unadministered estate of said deceased,
which shall come into your possession or knowledge, or to the possession of any
other person for you, and also render a just and true account of your
administration to said court within one year, and at least once in each year
thereafter during your administration to said court within one year, and at any
other time when required by said court, and to perform all orders and decrees
of said court by you to be performed in the premises.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto
set in my hand and affixed the seal of said court, at the city of Escanaba, in
said county, this twenty- seventh day of August, A. D. 1906.

In the matter of the estate of James H. Macdonald, Deceased.
The petition of Vilna I. Macdonald of the city of Escanaba, Michigan, respectully shows that your petitioner is the daughter of James H. Macdonald, the late of said city of Escanaba, that the last will and testament of the said James H. Macdonald was duly allowed and admitted to probate in said county, on the 4th day of March, A. D. 1889.
That Selah C. Macdonald, the executor named in the said will was dead at the time said last and will and testament of said James H. Macdonald, deceased, was approved, allowed and admitted to probate in said county, as aforesaid; that Eliza S. Macdonald, who was duly appointed admistratrix with the will annexed of the said James H. Macdonald, deceased, is now dead; that she died on March 11, 1898, without having completed the administration of said estate.
That the said personal property of the said estate of James H. Macdonald, deceased, consisted in part, as follows; - one promissory note for $5,000., dated November 1, 1887, and due two years after the date, executed by John Morris, Lide C. Morris, and W. W. Morris, to the said James H. Macdonald, deceased; and one promissory note for $400. , dated November 1, 1888, due five months after the date, and executed by Morris and Company to the said James H. Macdonald, deceased; said notes being secured by assignment of Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company policy no. 173384 on the life of John Morris, deceased, for the sum of $2503; New York Life Insurance policy no. 117157 on the life of John Morris, deceased, for the sum of $550., and the New York Life Insurance Company policy no. 116334 on the life of John Morris, deceased, for $4115. That the promissory notes aforesaid were uncollectable during the life of John Morris. That the said John Morris died January 12, 1904, and the said insurance policies are now payable to the estate of the said James H. Macdonald under said assignment of said insurance policies.
Wherefore, petitioner prays that letters of administration
with the will annexed of the estate of James H. Macdonald, deceased, be granted
to the said Vilna I. Macdonald of the city of

Macdonald being duly sworn, upon her oath states that she is the petitioner above named; that she has read the above and foregoing petition and knows the content therof, and that the same is true of her knowledge excepting as to the matters therin stated to be on information and belief, as to those matters she believes it to be true
