Biography of seth

It was years ago when Lord Marc met seth while participating in the Crusades.

Lord Marc's father had led Their group across Europe to aid in King Richard Lionheart's quest to liberate the Holy Lands from the Turks. As the story goes, there were some victories and also some grim defeats. They were a worn and tattered group when returning from their awful quest.

Marc's father was the next in line as the Duke of Normandee upon the death of the current Duke, but there were many that coveted that position. When they received word of the current Duke's passing, they headed home. It was one of His competitors that hired the band of outlaws to intercept their party before they could safely return home from Jerusalem.

During the midnight raid of their encampment, Marc's father was killed and Marc was severely wounded, before a group of traveling warriors stumbled into the fray and drove off the renegades. Marc woke up several days later in a small cottage, with seth treating His wounds.

seth explained that his previous master had left him to care for Lord Marc, then when He was well enough to travel, bring Marc back to this group of knights that bore the cross of the Templars. Marc indeed found that group and fought more battles with the Turks. Marc joined the Templars and after the Crusades ended, He brought seth with Him as He traveled to England and then Scotland, searching for a new home, far from His homeland in Normandee.

They stumbled on the empty Castle MacLaaran, which was left in semi-ruins when the former owner died childless. Marc decided to remain in the Scottish Highlands and rebuild the castle. seth served as his Master's servant and the doorman at the castle.

When Lord Marc was called back to France and named as the next Duke of Normandee, He left seth to assist the Council in maintaining MacLaaran. It was on one of Marc's trips back to visit MacLaaran that His ship was lost at sea.

seth still mourns the loss of his wonderful Master, but manages to smile when greeting Members and visitors at the door.
