Lady Josephine McCullough

By Sir Kyle - May 6th, 2001

Josie sat alone in her 6th floor chambers of MacLarren. She seldom left her room now. She would sneak downstairs and bathe in the communal baths when the others were sleeping. She no longer ate anything, never hungry.

How many years has it been? She could no longer keep track of time. Her mind drifted back in time as she lay on her bed.

The young, 17 year old Josephine, normally called Josie, was coming of age. She now had her own room on the 6th floor of Castle MacLaaran. Finally, some privacy.

She loved her parents of course, Laird John and Lady Estella McCullough, but they were so restrictive. She was never allowed out alone, always accompanied by her mother or one of their many servants.

As Josie's 18th birthday party approached, Lady Estella approached her, gently adjusting her daughter's hair. "You're finally old enough to go to the village and shop alone. Just be careful. Go to Lady's Hats & Gowns and you can select a dress for your party.

Josie was both nervous and excited, a purse of gold coins that her father had given her, free to select her own "coming out" gown. Soon she would be a real Lady, and be allowed to attend late night events in the Great Hall.

She first went to the village Lady's Hats & Gowns Shoppe, perusing the beautiful gowns. Her mother had said it should be white or off white, portraying her daughter's innocence. The clerk was quite helpful, fetching gown after gown as Josie enjoyed her afternoon shopping spree.

She selected a lovely, low cut white gown with off white lace trim that would lift and partially expose her firm young breasts for the first time…….

The clerk offered several pairs of lace trimmed knickers, but Josie refused. She had other plans. She was about to be a real Lady and the evening's attire had to be perfect. She paid the girl and instructed her to have the gown delivered to the castle.

Josie left the shoppe and turned left, instead of heading home. What she wanted she had seen in the window of Victoria's Secret, the new shoppe that drew frowns from her mother the one time they had walked past.

She carefully looked left and right as she approached the corner where the new shoppe stood. Convinced that no one was watching, she hurriedly slipped inside. This clerk was quite different, a cute little wench wearing a daringly low cut blouse that allowed her breasts to jiggle as she walked.

Josie blushed and stammered as she asked to see some of the lady's French lace undies that she had seen in the window. The clerk walked her to the counter and removed the lace panties from the drawers, laying them out one at a time, smiling at Josie's big eyes.

She was looking through the choices when the lad entered the shoppe. She was holding up a white lace pair when he reached the counter. "Those are nice," he said, smiling as her face turned a hot pink.

The clerk laughed, "Did you make those deliveries to the castle, Jamie?"

"Aye," he answered, but his eyes never left the blushing young Lady. "Might I ask yer name, lassie?

Josie hurriedly said, "I'll take these," handing them to the clerk, "Please wrap them up for me." She turned and still blushing furiously answered, "I'm Josie …. I mean, Lady Josephine McCullough."

"I'm Jamie MacGregor. I was just about to take a break in m' chores. Could I interest you in a bit o' tea?"

Josie knew she should decline, but his bright flashing blue eyes and the grin under his curly golden hair was more than she could resist. Within minutes, she was in the olde village tavern, a fully grown lady sitting with a delightful young man.

They were on their third cup of tea, when she realized it was getting dark. "I best be getting home, my parents might be worried."

Jamie walked her back to the castle gate that night, also infatuated in the lovely young lassie. She didn't resist when he gave her the very first kiss of her life as they stood on the drawbridge. She knew her parents would frown if they had seen that, or if her mother saw the French lace panties she hid in the bottom of her drawers.

It was late the next afternoon when Josie heard the knock at her door. It must be my gown, she thought as she rushed to answer the knock. Can you imagine the shocked look on her face when she saw Jamie standing there holding the package?

"Guid afternoon, Josie. I brought yer gown from Lady's Hats and Gowns."

Josie pulled him inside and hurriedly closed the door. "You deliver for them, too?"

"Aye, I make most of the village deliveries now to the castle. But, I don't usually get invited into a Lady's chambers." This time he was also blushing.

"Well," stammering, "I certainly don't want my parents to see us chatting at the door. Would you like to see my new gown?"

"I did see it at the shoppe."

"But, not on me. You aren't invited to my coming out party, but I'd like you to be the first to see it. Wait here in my sitting room while I change. There's wine over there in that ice bucket. You must be thirsty after the long trek up here from the village."

Josie knew she was blushing, but took the package and walked into her bedroom. She unwrapped it, laid the pretty gown out on her bed, then went to her dresser and reached in the bottom drawer for the new French lace panties.

Jamie poured two glasses of wine, took one in his hand, then wandered about the sitting room, first starring out the window. Such a beautiful view of the Abbey from her window. When he walked over to the fireplace he froze. There in the mirror he could see Josie through the partially open door as she removed her day dress and slipped into the little panties.

Wearing only the panties, she cupped her naked breasts as she looked in her vanity mirror. It was not til she turned that she realized he was watching in the fireplace mirror.

Their eyes met. They both froze. To this day she has no idea why they did it. They just walked toward each other, met at the door, and she received her second kiss, almost naked in his arms.

That was where they stood when her father walked into her chambers. Jamie was backing away stammering, as her father angrily drew his sword and approached in a rage.

He never even swung the weapon. Jamie backed to the open window, staggered as his legs struck the window sill, and out he went.

Josie screamed, raced to the window and grabbed his boot. They both fell, plunging six terrifying floors to their death on the stone path below.

And that my friends, is why her chambers on the 6th floor will ne'er be used again. So if you see a young lass, bathing in the communal baths….

or walking the 6th floor hall late at night, just let Her be. She's just another of the Castle MacLaaran ghosts, that walk O/our halls at night.
