Robert Tukey on the warpath
Tukey: Hello? NBC?
NBC: Yes?
Tukey: Oh, good. I'd like to speak to the management please.
NBC: Regarding?
Tukey: Obviously it has to do with Jay Leno. The guy has to be removed from
the airwaves. I'm sure you receive many phonecalls complaining about it
everyday.
NBC: If you have any complaints, please send them to....
Tukey: Look, if you can't help me, please transfer me to someone who can.
NBC: What do you have against Jay Leno?
Tukey: Isn't it obvious? I mean, the guy makes fun of people every single
show. What a hypocrite! The guy is like one of the biggest trolls on the air
right now.
NBC: You need to get a sense of humor.
Tukey: I have a sense of humor. I just prefer Nightline with Ted Koppel
instead. You can't possibly be defending someone who is obviously looking
for a flame war by repeated making such incendiary comments. Every one of
his shows is obviously flamebait! He is destroying the moral fabric of
America and he must be stopped!
NBC: Wait a minute. Aren't you guy who called last week trying to cancel
Saturday Night Live?
Tukey: As a matter of fact, yes. Any progress yet? Are they going to cancel
the show? Did I make an impact with my phone call?
(Hangs up)
Tukey: Hello? Hello? Damn! I can't believe I got hung up on again! Ok, who's
next on the list? Ah! CBS and David Letterman! This time they WILL listen to
reason!
