"Those irresponsible hooligans known as boy racers maim and kill on a daily basis on Britain's roads ,  only when they are hurt themselves will they stop this irresponsible and dangerous behaviour".

Chief Constable , Greater Manchester area , 1998.

This is a common view held by many politicians , police officers and the general public .  This is true in some cases.  I have known people who have had minor accidents and have never driven the same again whereas others never change.  In theory the more serious the injury the greater the reduction in speed should occur.  There is one person out there that has suffered a catalogue of injuries which are listed below and they still do not slow down.

From bottom to top.

You would think that someone who had suffered this many injuries would slow down and maybe even give up driving for good , but then again this person has not .  They keep getting faster and faster .  Looks like the politician , the police and the general public may just be wrong.
