D.A.M.
In a mad world only the mad are sane.
Three performers turn the stage into a physical and dramatic psychological arena where the base human emotions of anger, fear, love, jealousy, and annoyance come to a boiling point of a crazed delirium on the brink of pathological.  Through a series of theatrical and dance sketches, the performers become provocateurs of madness. Doctor/patient relationships, obsessive compulsive disorders, phobias, restraining fits and episodes, freaks and frights, reveal that which drives each and every one of us to madness, insanity, lunacy, laughter, irrational fear, blood, sweat, and tears.  The show presents a combination of character studies, contemporary dance, and humorous skits, all to a vinyl LP mix tape soundtrack of maddened artists thru the ages; Mozart, Cline, Zappa and more.

Darby Gibbs, Amelia Laidlaw, and Ming Hon spell out their brand new/new fangled company name as .maDAM. as well as their world premiere debut show; 'D.A.M. Madness'.  D.A.M. Madness was first premiered this past summer in the 25th anniversary of the Toronto Fringe Festival to shocking rave reviews. Most recently, .maDAM. had the opportunity to take D.A.M. Madness home to Winnipeg where it was received with warm welcome and much excitement for the trio’s success.

"Sylvia Plath channeled through Three Stooges slapstick in this surreal spectacle of contemporary dance employing Chopin, Zappa and white nurse's outfits for a conceptually stunning commentary on Freudian hysteria."                      5 Stars

heart(less) limit, a new solo work created and performed by Niomi Anna Cherney, takes a close look at the moment of decision. In the moment, the instant before motion, we must make a choice. The choice becomes about the direction of momentum. In a dark-dreamscape, movement plays with the sensation of losing certainty. Set to an original score composed by Lisa Conway, the solo creates an intimate emotional arc for its audience. What happens when certainty eludes us
