Nitpicks for Halloween III
Here I have listed the various errors that occur in Halloween III: The Season of the Witch
Toward the end of the film, if you watch Tom Atkins' shirt, it goes from untucked to tucked in.
In TEST ROOM A, the boy's mask doesn't have a Silver Shamrock logo on it in the first scene. But when the flashing commercial begins, the logo is now there.
Towards the end of the film, some of Cochran's androids are seen in two different places throughout the factory with no time change.
When Ms. Grimbridge walks back from the motel office where she bought a coke, there are no cars in the the motel's parking spaces. On the way back to the room, suddenly Mrs. Guttman appears out of her car after scaring Ellie by honking the horn. Since no car pulled in and there was elapse in time, it's obviously a flub.
Keeping with the last goof, after Mrs. Guttman goes into her room, there's an outside shot of the motel. Once again, there are no cars parked there. Although Mrs. Guttman's car was there a minute ago.
When Challis dumps the Silver Shamrocks onto the robots in the factory to make them short circuit, the robot Ellie who is with Challis should also be affected, but is not.
It is entirely unlikely that Cochran got a piece of Stonehenge to California with no one noticing. Of course Cochran does say "We had a time getting it here...you'll never believe how we did it!"
This mistake is when Cochran is showing Challis the family in the test room. In one shot of Cochran about to put the commercial on the TV, it shows the wife leaning over to her husband on the small surveillance camera. Then it cuts to inside the room with the wife just sitting and she leans over again.
In the scene where Dr. Challis is being attacked by the female robot, her arm comes off. Later, the disembodied arm attacks him. During the attack, the arm is seen pushing under his chin, pushing his head back. How can an arm, with no body attached, being held on to by the attackee PUSH?
In the final scene of the film, Dr. Challis gets on the phone to try and get the commercials for the masks off of TV. He makes his call, screams at them to take the commercial off. Then, when the kids change the channel, he screams 'now the next one!!' And does so again at the fade out. I would like to know how he managed to get a hold of three different television stations with one phone call!
So, the main villain replaced Ellie with a robot so it could impersonate Ellie and kill Challis when the time is right. Good idea. In fact, great idea! But why, WHY, did the robot decide to play along with Challis for so long? She could have killed him when he was bending over the balcony, but no! She waits until she's murdered her master, blown up the mask factory and made a run for it in an old car before she attempts to kill Challis. I think perhaps she was being a little over-cautious!
Why is the factory still creating masks the day before Halloween, surely there would be no time to deliver masks, yet there are boxes and boxes in the storeroom. no one is likely to buy a mask after the deaths of hundreds of kids so why make more?
When Dr. Challis throws the skeleton mask up onto the security camera, watch it carefully. At first, it is facing in one direction. Then only a few seconds later, it is obviously facing in a different direction.
After the android kills the old man in the hospital, he walks out of the hospital, gets into his car, pours gasoline over himself, and then sets himself on fire. The car then explodes in a huge ball of flames, causing parts of the car to shoot all over the parking lot. These car parts are on fire, and they are surrounding the car. But only a few seconds later, the only thing we see is the car on fire. The flaming car parts are mysteriously gone.
