Updated the Shape in Pictures page with new information on Tyler Mann's portrayal of Michael in Rob Zombie's Halloween.

I look at this site and I realize that I haven't updated much in the past few years but with the new movie out and new DVD on the way you can rest assured that I will be updating the kill list, the ladies of Halloween and tons of other stuff.
I saw the remake. If you haven't seen it yet then you need to! It take Myers to a whole new level and I found myself jumping at a few scenes. The acting/directing had some weak spots but overall the more was awesome!

Yes an update. I added DVD reviews to the Halloween on DVD page concerning the new re-releases of Halloweens IV and V and the Halloween: 25 Years of Terror DVD set.
Changed the Photo of the Month.
A few have emailed me and asked to change the layout. I like the site as is, I think it is a good site, I try to limit the photos, background and music so I don't kill my bandwith. I'm only allotted a bit each day. Thats what free geocities is.

Well it has been a long time indeed since I updated Mike's Halloween Homepage.

Well another new year is finally here and nothing new about another Halloween film. With the death of Akkad is our beloved franchise dead? Lets hope not.

Syrian-born film producer Moustapha Akkad, whose three decades of work in Hollywood ranged from the "Halloween" slasher films to more serious movies with Muslim themes, died Friday from wounds sustained in the bombing of a Jordan hotel. He was 75.
The death of Mr. Akkad is a huge blow to his family and friends. My condolences go out to his friends and family!

Syrian-born film producer Moustapha Akkad, whose three decades of work in Hollywood ranged from the "Halloween" slasher films to more serious movies with Muslim themes, died Friday from wounds sustained in the bombing of a Jordan hotel. He was 75.
Akkad and director John Carpenter began the hugely popular "Halloween" franchise in 1978. The first movie featuring the masked killer Michael Myers inspired a cult following and seven sequels, and launched the careers of Carpenter and actress Jamie Lee Curtis.
Akkad was a constant presence in the franchise. The Weinstein Co. described him in a prepared statement as "the man who's taken charge of Michael Myers and has stood behind him on each film."
Carpenter recalled Akkad as a "very, very nice man" who gave him creative control of the first "Halloween" movie.
"'Halloween' put me on the map, and I'm very sad to hear of his death," Carpenter said.
Akkad said he turned to horror films because he found it hard to raise money for religious-themed movies, according to a 1998 New York Times report.

Yesterday I met Don Shanks at Painesville, Ohio at a Haunted House. I laughed because a public announcer constantly referred to him as the man who played Michael Myers in HalloweeN instead of the man who played Michael Myers in Halloween 5.

My encounter with Don Shanks: All in all a nice guy, I did have to pay 10 bucks for his autograph photo. I did ask him if I was going to die and he responded that "yes I was going to die"
