My method is my madness ....
Mookemon has been constructed with almost childlike simplicity, using only a simple paint program. And why not? It's virtually free and it works. So there are some snappy functions lacking but on the other hand the simplicity of the method has lent charm to this strip. Southparkesque some would say.
A MOOKEMON is a series of panels (like in a comic strip or film frames) displayed in a table using HTML which by now any self respecting hacker should have at least a working knowledge. MOOKEMATION is an evolving art. MOOKEMONS are an evolving form. They have specifications, like a sonnet or a sitcom. For example, when printed they must be able to fold into a square like a mini comic with a cover and a back. They are to be able to fit on an A4 sheet.
These are all ideas in progress.
This thing has gone through a number of stages. Conception, a means of sanity, philosophy, lapse and re-birth. After much thinking and faffing I've decided to stick with the plan and implement other ideas elsewhere.
Anyway this is all done on computer except for sketches of my ideas which I do on paper whenever the fancy takes me. Ideas race ahead of me. I could do with some help. Paper slows me down. The computer almost grinds me to a halt. I need the computer the get this thing to materialise in it's medium - the WWW. I spent alot of time cutting, pasting and developing a library of templates. I scribble ideas into a sketch book. I await the next phase .... THE MOOKETRON ... and then my days in the sun will be many ...
