Story/Plot: 9
After reading my terrible synopsis, you might think that the story sounds boring, but it's quite the opposite. It's an exciting story with many twists and turns along the way. The ending of season one was so unexpected and it leaves you wanting to start the second season right away. Even the events near the very end of the series, at least some, are really unexpected and they definitely caught me off-guard. The story develops really well. You learn a lot about not only about Cephiro's past, but Autozam's as well. By the end of the series, I promise that you'll think it was too short and that the story could, if not should, continue.
Characters: 8.5
Overall, I like the majority of the characters. As the story unfolds, especially in the second season, you learn a lot about all of the characters; where they come from, why they do the things they do, etc. They all grow during the series and as they do, you learn more and more about them. Some of the background stories, at least I find, where almost as interesting as the actual story. I personally would have liked to learn more about Eagle's background with Lantis, but I can live without ^^. I found some of the characters annoying (*cough* Alcyone *cough*), the majority of them are quite loveable (*cough Eagle *cough*).
Art: 10
As always, CLAMP did a wonderful job with Magic Knight Rayearth. The artwork is great. The detail is beautiful; the clothing, the Mashins, the monsters, everything! The art on the characters is especially wonderful (the bishonens *hint hint*). They eyes are so cool =^^=.
Music: 8
All of the music in this series is so great ^^. I love the opening themes (Yuzurenai Negai and Hikari to Kage wo Dakishimete Mama) are so cute. The background music suits the series perfectly; the battle music is exciting, the music in the romantic scenes is cute; the music for happy moments is cheerful... Well you get the idea ^^;.
