"If you don't give Akane back, you'll all die....from her terrible cooking!!" - Ranma Saotome

Reviewer: Chibiwonton

Synopsis
A long time ago, Happosai presented a little girl a scroll that promised her eternal happiness as the possessor of the scroll. The great-grand daughter of this little girl, Lychee, comes to Japan with her elephant to seek revenge from Happosai because the scroll did not promise the happiness that they had waited for three generations. As the scroll mistakenly landed on the hands of Akane, the legendary prince Kirin appears with his crew of soldiers on a giant blimp. He claims Akane to be the possessor of the scroll, and his bride!! Taking her away by force, it now leaves Ranma to save her before the wedding ceremony begins.

Story/Plot: 8
A typical idea for a Ranma 1/2 movie. There were very funny and sweet moments which acts as a great addition to the great series. The plot of this movies isn't really too deep because it's either focused on the fight scenes or adding humor to the characters. I wouldn't suggest anyone to watch this movie without watching at least the first season of Ranma 1/2 because there are so many details that's hard to catch without knowing the characters well enough.

Characters: 8
As always, I think the characters are the best part of the whole entire series. Each and every one of them are so insanely hilarious that I can always catch details, even though it's like the twentieth time I've watched this movie. This time, around eight characters are introduced but development wasn't emphasized. Also, because of the short length of the movie, they tend to 'throw in' all the main characters in the series too quick in the first ten minutes of the movie, so pay close attention!

Art: 8
The art in the movie is comparably better than the art of the series. It's obvious how they touched up their faces and kept it consistent throughout the movie. I loved the fight scenes the most. They were just as good as any battle in the series.

Music: 7
There wasn't anything memorable in this movie, although the soundtracks brings you a very "Chinese" feeling. (The movie takes place in China) The ending theme "It's Love" is very energetic and fun to listen to while you get to enjoy the last part of the movie.
