Many people have emailed me telling me that they did a love spell (from books or one they saw on an online site - including mine :(, that did not work, I decided to write this article.
Since I am not an expert in the subject, just a very satisfied customer who love spells saved my life and got me my dream guy (read "About Me"), there was a time that I did everything I could (including throwing myself at men) but failed each time.
So I went to 3 experts to get their replies on the "why's" love spells fail, and how to prevent them from failing.

Magicka Love: So Lady "V", why do love spells fail? Before I met you, I tried spells found on books, etc... and not one worked! Some web visitors write to me telling me that they even purchased love spells from web sites and still failed.
Lady Venus: "Well, I can not speak for why love spells failed when your visitors purchased them online (perhaps it was a scam? perhaps the spell caster did not have experience???), but most love spells I have seen for free on the web and in some books are just poorly written.
You cannot take a "cookie cutter" approach to love spells. While the basic ingredients may be commonly used in spells for love, it is the "execution" that makes all the difference!"
Magicka Love: So you are saying that its' not just throwing together some ingredients in a bowl, chanting some prayer then 'poof' your lover will become your slave?
Lady Venus: "That's right! The ingredients in and of themselves do not possess sufficient power to cause the desired effect. The spell caster needs the help from "the other side" (spirits, ancestors, gods/goddesses, etc...) to truly effect change. Many people think that by studying a couple of books on love spells and witch craft that it is all they need. But most psychics and spell casters will tell you that it takes years of study under a master spell caster to really see the power of love magick!"
Magicka Love: So what are some of the causes of failed love spells?
Lady Venus: "Sometimes it is using the wrong or 'fake' ingredients. Some of my clients have gone to spiritual supplies stores and bought a bottle of "Love Me" oil. But what they do not know is that some of these stores buy their supplies from warehouses that do not carry authentic products! The oils, powders etc.. are just perfume and color with a nice catchy name. Then, there are those that do spells and are not very clear what the outcome should be. Outcome is important in all magick - because you need to focus your thoughts, words and deeds to get a specific result. Being vague does not work with magick.
Finally, the biggest culprit is impatience. Everyone has been duped to some extent by movies like "The Craft" and tv shows like "Charmed". They think they should "see" results immediately and lose faith when things don't "appear" to be working.
However, remember that magick, especially love magick works on the subconscious mind of the person. Can you see the mind (which is not the same thing as the brain)? No, but its there! So while you might think that nothing is happening, the person whom you did the love spell might be thinking about you more and more!
If you just allow the magick to do its' work, pretty soon they will call you and you both will be together!

Yet, people want love spells to work 'yesterday' and actually wind up undoing all the positive of the spell through impatience. Look, anything good in life is worth the wait. The spirits are not a drive through or McDonalds giving you your "lover" order in 10 minutes or less! Let the spell work - because I have had clients who were 'dying' to be with so-and-so. Then when they got that person, all of the sudden they no longer desired them and wanted someone else! We don't think that will be the case with us because we 'truly' love that person, but I see it happen all the time.
Maybe that is why the gods decided to cause love spells to work a little slow. So to make sure that the person doing it has the mental stamina and commitment to wait and see it through!"
Magicka Love: What is the average time you see for love spells to come to pass?
Ose: "It really depends. I have seen effects in as little as 8 hours to 6 months. But like I said, if you really love that person or want to be loved, you'll wait!"
Magicka Love: And if after the 3 to 6 months nothing happens - should the person re-do the spell?
Ose: "Not 're-do' the spell, but try another one. Again, I really believe the gods do this on purpose - to test your love and true desire."

Janine: "Love spells in my opinion fail, because people do it 'one time' and think that like tv shows and movies, it will be done for them over night. That is why I do love spells incantations and invocations (of Angels, guardians, spirits, etc...) for 21 days straight. It shows tremendous commitment to the goal and it will come to pass!
Magicka Love: Wow 21 days straight of doing love spells? That seems like a very long time to be asking for the same thing over and over on behalf of your clients!
Janine: "Yes and it works!"
Magicka Love: Could anyone just do this for 21 days or more and get results?
Janine: "I don't think so. Magick is not as easy as saying a couple of words and then doing a ritual or two. There are steps to take to speak to the Guardian Angels of the intended person you are doing the love spell to.
You cannot do "spiritual rape" on a person by doing a love spell and then expect that person to come to you like a zombie! You must 'entice' the angels and spirits that guard that person, to help YOU! You must present your case before the gods/goddesses and let them know that the person who desires the love spell to work, is sincere and genuine. Then you will receive their assistance and the person's soul will say "OK"."
Magicka Love: Ok, but what if a client of yours wants 'dark magick' one that will cause a married person to leave their spouse, or cause the intended 'victim' of the spell to really become a 'love slave'. Would the guardian angels of that person permit that?
Janine: "Yes to an extent. See when do not know everything that there is to know. Sometimes, you need to learn certain lessons in life and the best way to learn them is by being tested. Also, you do not know if the person that is married is married to the "right one"! I have united soul mates who had been married to others that were not their true soul mates! So you cannot judge people at all.
By the way, there is no such thing as 'dark magick'. That is a racial prejudice. Magick is magick and it is the intention of the person doing the magick which can then be classified as good or evil. Is doing a spell to cause confusion to a serial killer or pedophile, so that the police can catch them an example of 'dark magick'? Is uniting two people (even if one of them is currently married) who are true soul mates (divination can tell) evil? Again, only the gods/goddesses and guardian angels know what is really happening in any given situation."
Magicka Love: Ok, I have one more question for you. What if I do a spell to totally control, dominate even to the point of humiliation to someone - would you do this type of work?
Janine: "Truthfully, that kind of spell is actually quite common! It is called a revenge or domination spell and if you go to any occult supply store you will see oils, powders, etc.. called "Domination" or "Command" or "Compel" even "Essence of Bend Over"! Why people do these types of spells varies. I have many clients with husbands who beat them and cheat on them. The wife gets tired of being literally mocked by him and his girlfriends. She does a spell to "teach him a lesson". She gets revenge! He gets a taste of his own medicine. Then she feels empowered and leaves him. Is this 'wrong'? I do not judge.
So to answer your question, yes - I have done this type of spell before. However, I always ask the gods/angels of BOTH parties to help these two get over the bad situation that is causing them to act out in hateful ways towards each other. The gods/angels take care of the rest!"

Well folks, here you have it. Love spells fail due to poor ingredients, lack of experience, unclear goals and most commonly - impatience.
It took me a total of 6 months to meet, date and marry my soul mate - my husband, with the help of Lady Venus. It seemed like an eternity then - but when it happened, it happened over night! Maybe it took that long because I did not have someone specific in mind. Maybe it took that long because my soul mate (my husband) was living with a very controlling woman at that time!
