Little Goldi-Lox was a handsome little lad with beautiful long blond curls. He was full of life and fun and romped the whole day long, looking for chicks. As soon as recording was over he would rush into the house, throw his fringe jacket on the table and then skip off to play, and his many girlfriends would not know where he was until suppertime.
Out beyond the village where little Goldi-Lox lived, was a dense woods, and one day he thought it would be fun to go out there and gather flowers for his girlfriends. So off he ran, hippity-hop. The woods were filled with all kinds of wild flowers, and he kept going farther and farther before he realized how far away from girls he was. Suddenly he came to a little log cabin. He ran to the window and peeked in, but no one was at home. He tried the door and it was unlocked, so in he went. He looked all around and wondered what kind of chicks lived in the funny little house. He never dreamed, of course, that it was the home of three bears. Just think how hard he would have laughed, if he had known it. (For little Goldi-Lox was fearful of nothing.) You see Big Bear, Middle-Sized Bear, and Little Bear were out taking a walk. That's why the house was left alone.
Goldi-Lox peeked into every room. Out in the kitchen were three glasses of alcohol. The little boy was thirsty so he tasted the first glass which belonged to Big Bear. But the drink was whiskey, so he tried the second glass, which belonged to Middle-Sized Bear, but it was gin. When he came to the third glass which belonged to Little Bear, he found that it was brandy, so he drank it all up.
Next he wandered into the parlor, and there were three chairs. He tried the biggest chair, which belonged to Big Bear, but it was too brooding. Then he tried the middle-sized chair, which belonged to Middle-Sized Bear, but it was too high. "YYYYEEEAAAAAAAAAHH," said he as he sat in the littlest chair which belonged to Little Bear, "this chair just fits!" But he screamed so loud that he broke the little chair all to pieces.
Then he scampered up the stairs and peeked into the bed-room. There he saw three beds, all in a row. By this time (with the help of the brandy) he was beginning to feel pretty tired, so he lay down in the largest bed that belonged to Big Bear, but it was too hard. He climbed over to the middle-sized bed that belonged to Middle-Sized bear, but it was too soft, so at last he tried the little bed which belonged to Little Bear, and it was so comfortable he fell off to sleep without knowing it.
While Little Goldi-Lox was sleeping soundly up stairs, the three bears came home from their walk. They were very thirsty, so they hurried out to the kitchen to drink their alcohol. Suddenly Big Bear growled out: "Somebody 'as been tasting me whiskey!"
Then Middle-Sized Bear looked into his glass and cried out: "Somebody 'as been tasting me gin!" and Little Bear screamed: "Somebody 'as been tasting me BRANDY an' drank it all up!"
Then they went into the parlor, and Big Bear growled: "Somebody 'as been sittin' in me chair!" and Middle-Sized Bear growled: "Somebody 'as been sittin' in me chair!" and Little Bear cried out: "Somebody 'as been sittin' in me chair an' broken it all to pieces!"
Next they went up stairs to the bed-room, and Big Bear growled: "Somebody 'as been tumblin' me bed!" and Middle-Sized Bear cried out: "Somebody 'as been tumblin' me bed, too!" and Little Bear piped out: "Somebody 'as been tumblin' me bed, an' 'ere 'e is!"
This awakened little Goldi-Lox, and when he looked around and saw the three bears faces he laughed so hard he couldn't stop. Little Bear said: "Why are you laughin'? We're terrifyin'!" and Middle-Sized Bear said: "Oh, who are we kiddin', Keef?" as he started sobbing uncontrollably, and Big Bear growled: "All I can do in this dumb story is growl!" Goldi-Lox laughed all the way home, remembering that if he ever needed a laugh, he should see the Three Bears.
