Where we go

Here are some of the places we have camped in the past.

In the early part of 2004 we camped every month with the Motorcycle Camper and the Mazda Tribute  having decided to give away motorcycle camping in 2003. 

So far it has worked well.  We towed the small camper to Geraldton and back in an 8 week trip in the last part of 2003 with no problems at all.

In 2003 we were still doing most of our camping with the Honda Gold Wing.  We had a distance limit of 7.5 hours one way.  Beyond that we said was too far for a one day ride and then to set up camp. 

We had some great times with the Wing.  Major problem was always the onlookers who wanted to talk while you were setting up or pulling down !!

In 1987 we took off for 7 weeks in a 1976 (I think) Toyota Short Wheel base truck for a camping holiday up through the Tanami and on to the Bungle Bungles.  We spent our tenth wedding anniversary camped on the airstrip at Rabbit Flat Store.  Fuel was $1.20 a litre.

The new camper was christened in September this year.  Fitting out is complete with electric pumps, light wiring,  carpeting,  fridge slide installed and a Hot water system purchased.  Auxiliary pump to pump water into the water tank installed as well as fuel can holders for generator fuel.  Fridge fans fitted and wiring sorted.

Now we need to find somewhere new to go!
