10th of February, 2004: Magüi overcame a second set lapse to beat Hungarian Petra Mandula on Day 2 of the $585,000 Open Gaz de France. Serna won 63 16 62 to set up a second round clash with either French star Mary Pierce or Spanish lucky loser Arantxa Parra - that match to be decided on Wednesday. In the doubles competition, Magüi is playing with Maria Vento this week, they already advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating the Klemenschits sisters 7-5 6-1 and will face Marrero/Medina in the next round. 7th of February, 2004: Disappointing Australian Open for Magüi, who lost in the first round in all events. Next up for her is Gaz de France (Paris Indoors) starting this monday!

12th of January, 2004: Not the best of weeks for Magüi, (2) Huber/Sugiyama (RSA/JPN) d. Schiavone/Serna (ITA/ESP) 61 61, and so she's out of Sydney. Next up will be the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year, that starts next week. The draws are not yet out, but once they are they will be available here: singles draw, doubles draw, and mixed doubles draw. Let's hope for good draws!

11th of JAN

11th of January, 2004: Magüi played Bovina in the first round of the Adidas International and lost 4-6 1-6. She is still in the doubles, playing with Schiavone (ITA) this week. You can check the draw here.

8th of January, 2004: Magüi lost to Stosur (WC) (AUS) 6-7(1) 5-7 in Gold Coast's quarterfinals. Next up for Magüi will be Sydney (Adidas International).

6th of January, 2004: Magüi defeated Aniko Kapros (HUN) 2-6 6-0 6-4, and moves into the quarterfinals, where she will face the winner of the match between Stosur and Sprem. In the doubles, Magüi and Bedanova lost in the first round 4-6 3-6.

4th of January, 2004: Happy 2004 everyone! The season just got started! and with some good news for Magüi! who is currently ranked at No.20! an absolute best for her! she's playing Gold Coast this week as seed no.7, and she has already moved into the second round after defeating Dellaqua (WC) 6-2 6-4. It was apparently Dellaqua's first match in the big time, so there's an article about it on Tennis Australia if you want to check it. Now Magüi faces the winner of the match between Pisnik and Kapros in the next round. In the doubles competition, she plays with Daja Bedanova this week and they face a tough team in the first round: Petrova/Shaughnessy. You can check the draws here!

5th of December, 2003: Currently updating the website so that it's up to the end of season 2003. Added all the results, and will soon be adding some pictures. Although no spectacular victories took place, 2003 has been the best year in Magüi's career, with 2 singles titles to her name and a 14 matches undefeated streak in mid-season! she ends the year ranked No.22, which is the best season-ending ranking of her career!
