Berserk

What: The Black Swordsman, Guts, is after a man named Griffith, his former partner-in-arms. This is the story of how they met, and how thier relationship fell apart.

The Good: Berserk might seem like a mindless action, violence, and gore anime. It is, only without the "mindless" part. The outstanding action sequences are held up with a lush, involving, original storyline that can make a fan to even those wary of such testosterone filled series.

The Bad: The Engrish in the opening! Still, that can be pretty entertaining at times. But really, the violence and gore might be too much for some viewers. It's level of maturity is something that will probably seperate people over the series. Also, the ending is probably one of the worst cliffhangers in anime history. However, there are rumors of a Berserk 2 in planning stages.

The Bottom-Line: This series is for you if the following apply:
- You aren't put off by large amounts off violence and gore
- You are ready for a real shocker of ann ending
- You can put up with lyrics like "Even Mother will show you 'nother way" in the opening song.

If the series IS for you, then I highly recommend it, because it will deliver.

The Dub: The dub is pretty standard. Nothing particularly great, but nothing particularly bad. The outtakes, however, are hilarious.
