Sakura Diaries

What: Urara has always liked Touma, and shows up in his life once again. Touma, however, has his eyes on Meiko. The problem is, Touma gets caught in a web of lies, and has to pretend to be a college student in order to be with Meiko. But Urara won't just be ignored...

The Good: First of all, I'd like to point out that this is NOT a hentai title. I've seen it time and time again billed as one, but it's simply not the case. There are some "mature" scenes I suppose, especially in the uncut version, but nothing to constitute a hentai title. The show itself is a interesting romantic story. One of the best reasons to pick it up, though, would probably be because the uncut/sub only DVD set collecting the series is so cheap!

The Bad: Well, the show does like to show of the skin, and if you don't like that sort of thing, I suggest looking elsewhere for a good romance. Also, there just simply not enough. 13 episodes hardly does the series justice, leaving you wondering what's to come.

The Bottom-Line: ADV released the original, broadcast, edited version on 4 DVDs. After discovering that the japanese home video release was uncut, they got the rights to that and released it all, subbed only and collected for a lot less money. Paying that much for such an entertaining romance is too good to pass up. Well, unless you don't like too much skin.

The Dub: Never got the chance to hear the dub, since I saw the sub-only release ^_^;
