Rico was bred by Deirdre of Makara and is owned by Dan and Tracy Jarvis of Snowcrest and co-owed by Deirdre.

Rico finished his championship on April 8th, 1995 at the tender age of 9 months.  And in March of 1996, is when he moved across the country to be the foundation stud dog at Snowcrest Cresteds of Dan & Tracy Jarvis.

In 2001, Rico made history  by becoming the #14 male Chinese Crested in history to achieve his "Sire of Distinction" from the ACCC.
