The Anglican Parish of Northern Mallee
Being Anglican means that we are an affiliated parish. Our parish is a member of the Anglican Communion, i.e. it is a member of Bendigo Diocese and is in communion with the See of Canterbury.
Our new Parish was formed on Jan 1st, 1998, when St Mark's Red Cliffs was combined with St Margaret's Mildura. All Saints' Meringur, St Luke's Irymple and St John's Merbein were already incorporated within the parish of Mildura. Our Mallee ministry team visit Nangiloc Community Church every sixth week.

Our neighbouring parish in NSW is part of the Riverina Diocese, with St John's at Wentworth, St Martin's at Dareton and also Gol Gol, Buronga, Pooncarie and Up-country towards Broken Hill. The joint parish of Robinvale/Manangatang is to our east, Central Mallee Parish, based at Ouyen, is to our south, and the SA parish of Loxton is to the west. The Victorian parishes form part of Bendigo Diocese.

First team of Leaders.
Archdeacon Russell Smith relocated his family to join us in October 1997. We were very saddened to have him die Saturday, May 6, 2000, after a long fight against cancer.
Canon Ron Wood has been in Sunraysia about 15 years, and he retired in October 2000.
Revd Angela Dutton joined us in December 1998 as Priest Assistant.
Revd Doug Allen and Revd Gary Fordham were our Honorary Assistants.

During this Jubilee Year 2000, our leadership included Jean Thomson as Parish Priest's Warden. The People's Wardens were Clare Davy (St Marks), Frances Dwyer (St Johns) and Joy Lord (St Lukes).

We celebrated Revd Gary Fordham's move to take the leadership at Swan Hill in October 2000.
Thanks are extended to Revd Keith Stanley, a retired clergyman, who was our locum until Revd Colin Tett and his family became our leader in January 2001

Our System of Administration 1998 style
The Parish is governed by a Parish Council, Chaired by our Rector in Charge, and made up of a Warden from each Centre, plus two centre representatives, one appointed by the Rector in Charge, and the other elected by the Centre. They meet monthly.
The Warden and representatives report back to a monthly meeting at their Centre. Merbein, Mildura and Irymple have chosen the Vestry structure for their meetings.
St Mark's Red Cliffs hold a Congregational meeting chaired by Revd Angela.

Each Centre is responsible for its own grounds, as well as working together towards the unity of the whole Parish.

Come and join our life style. In January 2001 we welcomed Archdeacon Colin Tett to the leadership of our Parish. He is assisted by Canon Robert Chittick. Welcome
