The Sparrow
I
took a walk on a path one day
to
my surprise it led me away,
I
cast my eyes upon it there,
a
rotting tree so sad and bare.
Down
the path a tall tree stood
all
sad and now just rotting wood,
On
its branch a sparrow perched
it
seem to be talking to the earth.
As
I listened to its painful tale of an
arrow
that flew and the sparrow wailed,
The
wind blew oh blow wind oh no
not
for me , but for the sparrow in the tree.
Sing
sing oh sing for me just like a sparrow in
the
tree but just then the earth shook,
The
tiny bird fell and died
I
hung my head and then I cried.
For
in every women I see a tiny sparrow
just
like me
