"It's a long and dusty road,
It's a hot and heavy load,
And the folks I meet ain't always kind.
Some are bad and some are good,
Some have done the best they could,
Some have tried to ease my trouble in mind."
- Tom Paxton
My Brother
Alephs,
I apologize for the lateness of this month's monthly release.
Everything was hectic over here at the desk of your friendly,
neighborhood, Chapter Aleph Godol. I came back from a
wonderful trip to Arizona (there were a ton of hot chicks),
became unsuspended, had a load of tests and homework in my
first week back, and had LTI to prepare for. Thank you all you
gave me so much support during my suspension, it was much
appreciated and it really helped me get through this difficult
time. I hope that, although not very well attended, the
programming was fun. But now I'm back and I'm rarin' to get
back into the swing of things and achieve my goal of
tenderizing all of the bums of the AIT's at least once (yeah,
I know, Zac's already gotten it a few times, but what can I
say, I love him).
But one thing does
concern me - the lack of enthusiasm of our Alephs during my
suspension. The success of the chapter does not depend on me,
I am only an Aleph just like the rest of you, no, the success
of all of the facets of Mandel Bloomfield AZA #121 revolves on
membership - on each and every one of you. A large membership,
but, more importantly, a dedicated and passionate group of
Alephs (like that crazy Etai) is what separate Mandel
Bloomfield from other chapters. I'd like to say that, no
matter what the BBG's tell you, I am not perfect. However, if
you guys are having any problems as to why you are not coming,
I will give you my honest opinion on what you say and will try
my hardest to take your suggestions into account. I hope that
Mandel Bloomfield AZA #121 can get back the spirit that we had
been displaying earlier in the programming year. And to help
get this spirit back, THIS MONTH WE HAVE AN ICE LIG!!!!!!!!!
Yes we do. We get to see me fall on my ass and the rest of the
Aardvarks achieve something that we hadn't achieved since, uh
… last Ice Lig! And that is win! Oh, yeah, and did I forget
to say that RONI IS PLAYING. This Ice Lig will take place on
the Saturday after exams, January 29, with the place and time
followed by the ever-present TBA. Then the next day, we are
going to start out Mandel Bloomfield's annual curling
tournament (which I won as a third last year) so get your
fore-somes ready (Zac, stop thinking of Simmie in that way).
And on the 16th, at 2:00, I hope to see all of you guys at the
JCC for some wild and rowdy Snow-Football against Abe C. Bring
warm clothes and the enthusiasm to win!
I would like to
thank everybody who came to Fallboy, I hope that you all had a
great time, I know that I did, and I hope that all of you
AIT's learned about the Fraternity that is displayed in the
region. I will not go into to the convention too much now, as
I am saving it for my Mid-State of the Chapter which is coming
up on February 3rd. I hope that everyone who went to it had a
great LTI, and this I will also wait until my Mid-State to
expand upon. Except for the fact that Jeremy Pertman scored,
and Zac didn't, something is really wrong here. Enclosed with
this release is my mid-year officer's report that I presented
to the region at LTI. For those of you who were not there,
please read it over as it really will show you about how I
feel on certain issues, and about the successes of Mandel
Bloomfield this year. And for those of you who were there, you
can always refresh yourself, and, as far as I'm concerned, can
be referred to three or four times a month. Oh yeah, and did I
forget to mention...
EVERYONE LOVES AN
AARDVARK.
