Letter to Mother 3

Sometime in the future…

Dear Mom,

Here is the thank you card for you brining the crib over. You know I am forever grateful to you. Now you can stop nagging me about sending one!

Sarah came over last night and helped me finish painting the nursery. It is now a pale yellow with little ducks on the border. Cute, huh? Of course, Emily wanted to help, so I gave her the task of arranging the stuffed animals in the crib. She spent about an hour taking them out, placing them back in carefully, and then starting again. She is a strange child, indeed. I think she got that from her Aunt Sarah.

My due date is in three weeks, and we’re all getting excited, Emily especially. She insists that “mommy and my new baby sister” (she swears that it is a girl) take her daily nap with her, and she will fall asleep hugging my belly. She talks to the baby, too. Sound familiar? Em tells everyone, “in two weeks, I’ll bring my sissy over to show you.” I correct her, but she never changes her story. Maybe I should listen to her, since psychic-ness runs in the family.

Hope things are going well with you. I will see you soon!

Love
Amanda
