I took the following excerpt from the Woman's Secretariat website.   I've not owned a copy of this book in years, but back in 1997 it gave me a great start on the road to my own recovery.  It is no longer in print, but can be found at used book stores and on ebay on occasion.

The following quotes are reprinted from the book AMAZON SPIRIT -Daily Meditations For Lesbians in Recovery by Eleanor Nealy © 1995

"I am a new creation; action, vision, insight, and voice are mine. Creativity springs forth from my center, my energies give birth, my ideas bear fruit."

-The Rev. Nancy L. Radclyffe,

(ret) Toronto,ON,Canada

"For in our human, sexual, sensual selves, lives the breath of a spirit which connects and leads us to love, to our divine selves. My life had been an endless contradiction of faith until I affirmed the rightness of myself as a lesbian."

-The Rev. Judy Dahl,

Global Outreach Administrator

"We do all sorts of things for the outside of our bodies, and I'm not gonna say that any of that is wrong. But I want to say one thing: we must be concerned about what is on the inside because no matter how well we dress up the outside, it is the inside that needs healing."

-The Rev. Delores Berry,

Mid-Atlantic District,USA

"The surprise and delight of making love to her that night still fills me. What was supposed to be queer, perverted and debased was, I found, lovely, sacred and healing."

-The Rev. Elder Nancy Wilson,

MCC LA, CA,USA

"Even in knowing a truth communicated to us by others, we must rediscover it within the context of our own experience in order for it to apply to our own survival."

-The Rev. Sandra L. Robinson,

Samaritan Institute
