The Edge

You may be wondering what SEMP (the Southern Edge Mission Partnership) has been up to lately.
As well as the recent ‘Anniversary Stroll’ through the parishes and this year’s Treasure Hunt, the Partnership’s “The Edge” project is well under way, guided by detached Youth Worker Ali Simpson (based at St Christopher's).
Ali Simpson She writes of her recent activities in the Edge’s blog (www.southernedgemp.blogspot.com)

Alison read this prayer:

God of the past who has fathered and mothered us -
- we are here to thank you;
God of the present here in the midst of us -
- we are here to praise you;
God of the future who is always ahead of us -
- we are here to trust you;
God of life within us and beyond us -
- we rejoice in your glorious love.
(adapted from Kathy Galloway)

Loving God, we thank you for our school and our church.
We thank you for the journey you have brought us all on to get us to this place – to our new building and our new community together.
We ask that you will help us to look after all that you have given us and help us to look after each other so that when, in years to come, future generations discover this time capsule, they will see a record of the beginnings of changed lives and lives lived to your glory.
Amen.
