"Then again, e=mc^2 may only be a local phenomenon." - Einstein

Seven mental locks on creativity and growth (source unknown)
(Some 'awakeners' are listed on the right)

1. Everything is fine (Fine is fine. Let's play for better.)

2. Follow the rules (Yes rules. Let's do better.)

3. To err is wrong (Errors are the normal way we learn.)

4. Playing is frivolous (Play is play, and yields humane growth.)

5. That’s not my area (Synergy works some areas together.)

6. Be practical (Do we all dress the same? Let's play and grow.)

7. I’m not creative (Let's break cultural molding.)

By applying, or not applying, these locks we literally create our own reality.

“If you want to be creative, stay in part a child with the creativity and intuition that characterize children before they are deformed by adult society.” – Jean Piaget

The creative leap comes when someone intuits and is able to mentally leap to a better way. We find the same pattern when people overview, look a book over, read it fast, then go over it again. This look-ahead function enriches our understanding in a form of creative leap. It's exactly the same when we find patterns in complexity. There is a creative leap to understand form and pattern on a new level. Simplicity beyond complexity. Which takes us back to reading books again, only Very Fast this time. Fast readers read big chunks at a time, and let the inner mind simply understand. Read meaning not words.

This is the same pattern followed by holistically thinking people, from executives to shamans. Please leap creatively wherever you can.
