Hi again Bejon!

OK, so that one didn't work, not a problem!  There are 3 other ways I've come up with :o)

This one is really easy and I don't know why I didn't think of it before!  lol

Open up the original .gif you saved (if you don't have it any more, open up your .psp image and save it as a .gif).  I totally forgot to save even the .psp file so I'm going to have to make it again, just bear with me, hold on...

Okey dokes, all sorted now... oops!  lol

First off, we need to get our colours back again, so go to "Colours" then down to "Increase Colour Depth" then across to "16 Million Colours"

Now we're going to give it a transparent background without using the wizard (and hopefully without the specks).

Go back up to the "Colours" menu, then down to "Set Palette Transparency"

A little dialogue box will come up saying about decreasing the colours again... you need to make sure you've got these settings in that box:

Palette box:  "Optimized Median Cut" is chosen
Reduction method box:  "Nearest colour" is chosen
Options box:  nothing checked, no settings

When you've got that set, hit "OK".  Another little box will come up that asks about the transparency of your image.  Click and drag that box out of the way so that you can see your image again:

Hover over your image - the cursor will change into a dropper.  Click somewhere on your solid background and PSP will automatically change itself so that it chooses the 3rd option, puts a number in the box for you and puts the colour in the box on the right.  Hit "OK":

Doesn't look much different huh?  Don't worry, it *is* different... PSP is just playing hide and seek <grin>

Go back to the "Colours" menu, then down to "View Palette Transparency"

Looks a bit different now huh?  :o)

Save it as a .gif and follow Patti's tutorial the rest of the way to animate it :o)

If this one didn't work either, that's OK, there's still another 2 ways to do it - just let me know and I'll write them up for you... they are more complicated than these last 2 so I just want to be sure that these 2 ways don't work first :o)
