Using the Browser

Going back to the main Browser window, the next thing you need to know is to how to open the image you want.  To do this, you can either double left click on the thumbnail, or you can right click on the image (like you did to find out the extra info about the file) and choose the "Open" option from the pop-out menu that appears.

Try experimenting both ways and see which you prefer :o)

Next, you may want/need to rearrange your images.  To rearrange your images within the current folder, single left click on the image you want to move so that it is highlighted then click and drag the image to wherever you want it to be in the folder.

But what if you want to put it somewhere other than the same folder?  To move it to a different folder, single left click to highlight it then click and drag it to the folder you want it to be in.  Then you need to go to the folder you've just moved it to and follow the step above to rearrange it within the folder.

What about if you want to keep the image where it is but have a copy of it in a different folder too?  No problem - just single click on the image to highlight it, then hold down your Control (Ctrl) key while click and dragging it to the folder you want it copied to.

Now that you've got a copy of the file, you might want to rename it - can you do that in PSP?  Yep!  No probs!  :o)  Single click on your image to highlight it then single right click to bring up the pop-out box again.  On here, choose the "Rename" option, type in the name you want to have for this image (make sure you keep the file type (eg .gif/.jpg etc) the same otherwise the file won't be recognised) then hit "Enter" on your keyboard.

OK, so you've finished with your image now and you want to delete it - how do you do it in PSP?  Single click on the image you want to delete so that it's highlighted, then single right click on it so that the pop-out menu comes up.  On that menu, you need to choose "delete" this time.

A pop-up dialogue box will come up, if you are sure that you want to delete it and send it to your recycle bin, click "yes"... if you've changed your mind and don't want to delete it, just hit "no"

If there are several files you want to open, move, copy or delete, you can hold down your Control (Ctrl) key and select them each individually if they are scattered all over the place or hold down your Shift key and select the first and last image if all the images are together - when all the images you want are selected, just follow the steps above for whatever you want to do with them!  :o)
