Making a Prism

Go back to your octagon image

We need to go back to the "Effects" menu, "Illumination Effects" and "lights" again.

This time, in the Preset options drop-down list, we need to choose "Lamp"

In the colour box, you need to change it so that it's not quite white - I've used the colour with the html code of #FFEEDD (single left click on the colour box to bring up the colour dialogue box, right at the bottom there's an option for the html code, put the code I've given you in that box and hit "OK")

Now you need to click and drag the asterisk so that it's at the very left hand edge of your octagon.

Click and drag the circle with the cross inside so that it's in about the middle of the octagon and adjust the light beams so that it gives a very thin beam of light:

Hit "OK" then the "undo" button (there *is* a method to my madness!)

Go back to the second image you created - the one with the black background and the colours coming out at the right hand side

Go back to the "Effects" menu, down to "Illumination Effects" and across to "lights"

In the Preset options drop-down box, it should now say "last used" and the settings you have just put in should still be there.

Make any adjustments to the beam so that it links up all 3 colours and fits between the red and blue lights.

Change the "darkness" setting to 25 then hit "OK"

Go back to your octagon image

Go to the "Effects" menu, then "Illumination Effects" and "Lights" again

It should come up with the "last used" option again in the Preset options box, so just hit "OK"

Save your work
