Making Snow Globes

Now go your layers pallette

If you hover over the name of each of the layers (layer1, layer2, layer3 and layer4) you will see a thumbnail picture thingy of what is on each of the layers.

Select your mover tool

Using this tool, click and drag the base to the bottom of the image in about the middle

Now do the same with the globe... position it so that it fits nicely in the base

You'll notice that the globe overhangs the base.  Go back to your layer pallette and hover over each of the layers in turn until you find the layer that's got your globe on it... it's layer 4 for me.  Click and drag this layer so that it's underneath your base layer.  Your layer pallette should look something like this:

Now find the layer that's got your dolphin tube on it and single left click on the name of the layer to select it:

Save your work again... make sure it's a .psp file

The dolphin looks kinda out of place with the globe doesn't it... looks kinda big!  <g>  Our next job is to resize the dolphin so that it fits nicely inside our globe.

Select the resize tool (Image, Resize)

A dialogue box will come up... use the following settings:

Percentage of original:  Width:  55
Resize type:  smart size
Resize all layers UNticked
Maintain aspect ratio ticked and set to 1.0000 to 1

**if you've used a different tube, you'll need to play around with how much you resize it to fit in the globe

Then hit OK and your dolphin tube will be resized

A good habit to get into is every time you resize something is to sharpen your image... it just makes it nice and clear again  :o)  Go to the "Effects" menu, then down to "Sharpen" and across to "Sharpen"

Save your work again... make sure it's still a .psp file!
