Tour
of PaintShop Pro
Next
we're going to be looking at the bar at
the bottom of the PSP workstation.
On
the right hand side, you have some
information about your current (active)
image.

The
above screenshot shows some info about the
image I have open - your details may be
slightly different. The 150x150x16
Million tells me the height and width of
my image (150 by 150 pixels) and the
number of colours it is set to (16
million). The next part tells me the
current file size of my image, so if I
save my image now, as the default type,
the file size of my image will be 89.5k.
On
the left hand side of the bar you have the
prompt telling you to hit F1 if you need
help:

Take
your cursor and hover over your
image. You will notice that this
part of the bar changes to some
numbers.

These
numbers tell you where your cursor is in
your image. The very first pixel (in
the top left hand corner) will have the
numbers (0,0) and the very last pixel in
the bottom right hand corner will have the
numbers (150,150) on my image. The
very first pixel will always be (0,0) and
the very last pixel will always show the
same size as your image. When I
hovered my cursor over my image and took
the screen shot, this is where my cursor
was - 65 pixels from the left hand side
and 69 pixels down from the top.
In
some tutorials on the internet they ask
you to do something at a certain place in
your image and they give you the numbers -
these are the numbers the tutorial is
referring to :o)
Move
your cursor around on your image and
notice how the numbers change. Try
and find a way (using the things you have
already learnt from this tour) to increase
and decrease your file size.
