Page dedicated to the Spanish writer Jose Manuel Castañón, author of novels, essays, short stories, and memoirs which expose an insightful look at his time and reflect his courageous and passionate life.

Jose Manuel Castañon wrote most of his literary work in Venezuela where he lived twenty years in voluntary exile, fortified by his passion for Vallejo and his love for all the Bolivarian world. He travelled through all countries of Latin America, like an ambassador of the Hispanic culture, divulging the poetry of his very much admired Cesar Vallejo, reciting poems of Rubén Darío, Miguel de Unamuno, and also the works of other poets "then the writer is the youngest brother of the poet" and always reflecting on Hispanic Literature and the literary work of many of its representatives, praising and proclaiming it.
