Haibara Ai / Miyano Shiho
| Ai Haibara is a mysterious girl who
actually invented the drug ‘aptx4869,’ the drug
that poisoned Shinichi/Conan. She, like Conan was also poisoned by the drug. She used to be a member of the Darkness Organization but betrayed them and is a target for the organization, they hope to silence her so she doesn’t reveal any confidential information of the organization to anyone. Ai also knows Conan’s secret as does he knows her’s. She stays with Professor Agasa who took her in after she betrayed the organization. Her name, Haibara Ai, is just a new identity she created for herself since she had to discontinue using her real name, Miyano Shiho, because she was afraid of being tracked down by the Darkness Organisation. During her time working there, she was given the codename ‘Sherry.’ She is also a member of the Detective Boys, a group of 7-year old kids who hang around with Conan and solve cases. She often thinks about leaving the group because she fears being tracked down by the Darkness Organization and getting Conan, her friends and Professor Agasa silenced. Overall, Ai is pretty reserved and very pessimistic but i think that was the doing of the Darkness Organization. She often gives her cynical comments when in a conversation. Ai has been through a lot and you must admire her endurance considering what she’s gotten out of life. |
