I've now been in Melbourne, Australia for 1 week and I love it here.  My apartment is right across the street from my job at the U.S. Consulate General (so I have no excuse to be late, I guess) and everyone at work is friendly. 

I went for a walk around the downtown area, called CBD, last weekend and it's pretty nice.  There's a lot of Victorian buildings here.  The Yarra River is the border of the downtown area and creates a nice view when walking down there.
