This huge concert was broadcast live, in it's entirety, to a national radio audience as well as the thronging masses gathered in the Nynex Arena. Starting with James microphone too low in the mix, the 1 and a half hour (!) set soon becomes a classic, and this radio recording is the best and most complete example of a full post-EMG Manics live set. Highlights include a spirited rendition of 'Motown Junk', complete with 'baby love' intro and an ad-libbed scream of 'You're FUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKEEEDD!' from James, a stunning acoustic set with a version 'this is Yesterday' that literally had me in tears, the best live recording of 'Yes' there is IMHO, hearing the huge crowd fill in the blanks of a furious 'Stay Beautiful', and the 'lust-for-life' ending of 'You Love Us'.

The controversially edited video 'Everything Live' catalogues all but seven of the tracks, and is looking to be well below usual Manics standards, production wise. Still a must buy, though!
