In the same manner He also took that cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This, do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.” –I Corinthians 11.23

Every Sabbath, those who are willing and able come early to help set the hall for services. have been prepared during the week. Flowers picked from one’s yard, or found in flower markets, and ornamental plants are grouped in arrangements to nurture appreciation of God’s creation. Colorful posters with short messages and illustrations to provoke thought, are tacked onto to the walls every week. Up front is a large board with a map of the Philippines, and The World, to aid those who give comments and announcements. Atop this board, is a banner in large letters “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.”

Children in the Fellowship
Our Father pours out His innumerable blessings on the Sabbath, and the children are among the brightest. Arielle bursts into the door, “Hi!!!! …ss…Crdona” full of things to say, hungry for language. Charisse and Jeremy run into the hall with smiles on their faces, bright eyes and eager “Mayroon bang Bible Study mamaya?” Ezra Arianne, pretty and proper, greets everyone with “Happy Sabbath” (when she is there) and helps carry things. Andrew Joseph runs around teasing adults with a smile. Always full of energy and life. Of course they had those early crying phases during services, but soon they grew out of it. They are always prayed for and healed when they are ill. Now we are also excited looking forward to (remember the fellowship’s first wedding?) the first child of Gilbert and Ann Deboma! (As of February 2005, they now have two sons)

From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the LORD honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words, Then you shall delight yourself in the LORD; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth…
—Isaiah 58.13-14a
“And he said to them, ‘the Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”
