Nixon Lake Float Fly
June 15, 16, 17, &18th, Vermilion Bay, Ontario
Nixon Lake is a small lake on the Trans Canada Highway, just west of Vermilion Bay Ontario. Vermilion Bay is east of Kenora and west of Dryden.
New camp ground owners, Brenda & Norman Mitchell (807- 227-2429) invite all past and new flyers to come out to the 13th Annual Float Fly.
The campground is closed to only R/C flyers for the weekend. Special camp ground are in effect for the event. There is a terrific steak BBQ on Saturday!
Flying is off the beach and a good selection of modelers attend from Thunder Bay, Dryden, Kenora, Winnipeg, and Portage.
I last attended in 1998 and had a great time, so it may be time to head back this June.
