WHAM Polar Fly 2001

Seven brave souls arrived at 11am at the WHAM field for the annual January 1 polar Fly. Flyers were Tex (Sabrejock) Gehman, Ken (kenair) Kalynuk, Duncan Stewart, Cam Alexander, Ken Ritchie, Bill Collier and Tom Whitburn. Later Erwin Wilde and a couple of buddies arrived a bit later. The weather was wicked, -26C, wind at 26kph giving a wind chill factor of over 2000. Due to the extreme weather, Bill's, Sig LT 25 and Tom's Sig Wonder did not fly.
