No offense mates. But sometimes it's the simple stuff that delays or cuts short a great ride.
Engine won't start? Is ignition on? If on, is KILL switch in run position? If in RUN, is bike in neutral and/or clutch lever pulled IN?
If the ignition is ON, are the running and indicator light lit? If not, it could be a dead battery or a bad ignition switch.
No fuel flow? Check that the fuel tap is in RUN or RES position and there's sufficient gas in tank. If fuel tap is in RUN, turn the tap to RES and try starting bike.
Engine dies as you release clutch lever? Is the side stand DOWN? IF down, the engine will die as you release clutch lever.
If all the above are OK, what was the LAST thing that was done to the bike such as a repair or modification? What has changed since you last rode the bike and had no problem? If a change was made recently, check wiring and connectors; look for a disconnected wire or hose; look for a pinched fuel line.
