In Memory of Cameron Goetz |
|||||||||||
Cameron Goetz was a funny, vibrant and smart young man. A kid who always had a smile on his face and an optimistic outlook on life. He could play tennis like a pro, his talent didn't end on the court, it thrived in the class room as well. Little did any of us know that Cameron was suffering from depression, an illness that affects millions of Americans. Little did we know that past his smile on the inside he was screaming. Cam lived in his own world of personal suffering for five years. By the time my class mates and I found out about Cameron's illness, it was too late. Cam took his own life on August,11,2002. One day shy of his 20th birthday. |

I have created this web site in hopes that it would be a help to those who are suffering or know some one who is suffering from depression. Let them know that you care and that there is a glimmer of hope. An that all is not lost and that you want to help them get back on track. Because caring about someone is the first step in saving their life. Even if they don't want to talk about it right now, just let them Know that you are there when they are ready to talk about what they are going thru. Let them know that you will be there no matter what, day, time, or place. Let them know that you are willing and able to listen. |
