NODE | freedominate | Exhibit 001 | Miscellany
I would like to first provide this disclaimer. Some of the images in this artwork are disturbing or grotesque. I believe that these images are important to the impact of the work as a whole, which is intended to be troubling. It is up to the viewer to decide whether they wish to proceed. The artwork in question is entitled "Node." It is an html collage. Almost all of the images and text are links, some of which are external. I take no responsibilty for the content on any of the external links. The Node was designed on a resolution of 1280 x 1024. Viewing at a lower resolution will hide some links and alter the design of the page. I've only seen the Node on IE, but it should work on all browsers. The entire work was hand-encoded.

Update: October 16, 2003 - There was apparently an error in judgment I made that would've made the page very slow to load in Netscape browsers. To get the unique background colours of some of the nodes, I used different 1x1 pixel-size images as the backgrounds. These images had to load individually each time they were called, meaning they would be called thousands of times each time a frame loaded. In IE they are only called once.

To fix this, I changed the image size to 50x50. Now everyone should be able to view it properly.
