and so it goes,
with the vanity,
the fabulous people,
the high-speed era,
the age of I Can Get It For You Wholesale.
Of course, these people can explain it better than I ever could.
Basically, the idea is that you can circumnavigate the whole "You Must Pay to Meet People" angle at "Meet Me At HotOrNot," simply by mirroring your profile on your homepage and making it searchable. Then, all anyone has to do is search for the keywords and profile to go with your pic, and bingo. They have found you and can contact you.
There are only two problems: (1) meeting people from a site whose sole purpose is conceit and vanity? Hell, why not? Isn't that how the real world works anyways? and (2) anyone can contact you, even the dweebs. And so I ask, if you're going to email me based on my HotorNot profile, please make a double-match first.

This is the image I used.
These are my keywords: anticlockwise cnidophobia, calgary, chess, cuddling, cyberpunk, downtown, goldfish, google, hiking, moby, mountains, music, nin, pagan, parables, philosophy, poetry, scrabble, spiritual, survivor, swimming, vegetarian
This is my profile: Hey, I'm a future Calgarian looking for like-minded companions. I'm into the outdoors, the indoors, the inside-out, the Doors, the inner being, the out-of-body, and Meeting For Coffee.
So what, you might ask, is anticlockwise cnidophobia? Googlewhack is to blame for this one. A googlewhack is when you type two real words (recognized by www.dictionary.com) into google and the result is a single hit. Try, for example, Nonmedicinal Heterosexism. This is handy because it then provides a code for finding a single, solitary page on the internet. At the time I made this document, there were no search results for "anticlockwise cnidophobia." Thus, the next time Google updates itself and finds this page, this will be the one and only result for that search... thus making it ridiculously easy to find me if anyone in so inclined.
When you do find me, you can email me at jonvermunt@hotmail.com.
Okay, so let's see if it works.
