Shifu Ruben Chavez started training Nortern Shaolin (Bei Shaolin Quan) in 1979 under shifu Horacio Di Renzo. In 1994 he started training Cai Li Fo under shifu Horacio Di Renzo and also his shi gong, shifu Chen Guo Wai.
Shifu Ruben Chavez met shifu Sun De Yao in 1998 when he took his fist tang lang quan training. In 2001 he returned to China and continued his training. In 2003 he invited shifu Sun De Yao to Argentina to teach tang lang quan.
Shifu Ruben Chavez teaches in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
