His name is romanized as:
Yang Feng Shih.
He is nicknamed as "Yang Ge".
Born in 1948, shifu Yang Feng Shi is a native of Tainan City, Taiwan. He graduated from Fu Jen University where he received his degree in Chinese history.
His main Tang Lang Quan teacher was shifu Li Deng Wu. Shifu Yang Feng Shi was a 'disciple' (rumen dizi) under shifu Li Deng Wu; however, he has also trained under shifu Zhang De Kui, shifu Li Hong Jie and shifu Gao Dao Sheng.
While studying under shifu Li Deng Wu he learnt a Tang Lang Quan Qi Gong applying 'pai-da' (slap-hit) iron shirt training. This iron shirt training is better known as "San Huan Jiu Zhuan Gong."
When shifu Yang Feng Shi started training under shifu Gao Dao Sheng in the early 1980's he was already and accomplished tang lang quan boxer and some of the mantis taught at that school was was brought into shifu Gao Dao Shen's curriculum by him.
Shifu Yang Feng Shi is proficient in Northern Long Fist, Tang Lang Quan, and Zi Men Quan (Tzu Men Ch'uan); moreover, he has extensive knowledge on Chinese martial arts history and has written several books on Tang Lang Quan.
In 1979, shifu Yang Feng Shi entered the Taipei Kuoshu Delegate Team Selection Competition, winning 2nd and 3rd place.
As a delegate for the R.O.C. Kuoshu Association, shifu Yang Feng Shi has been sent several times overseas to teach and demonstrate, as well as to judge at international Kuoshu tournaments. Currently, he is teaching at the Chinese Cultural University's Kuoshu Department.
