Picture quality
As with all of these Fox martial arts titles, the film is digitally remastered. It is presented in animorphic widescreen (2.35:1 aspect ratio) and looks excellent except for one small section. For some reason, most of the Bruce Lee shots during the opening fight look terrible and are really grainy. On the Universe disc, they don't look this bad. However, Fox's disc is color corrected so the priest's robe remains yellow through out, instead of switching colors as in the Universe DVD.
Sound quality
The film features an English track only, with 5.1 or DTS options.
The Film
This is how you make a film with remaining Bruce Lee footage. It is great! If you don't believe me, just read Keith's review of it here. Given how terrible GAME OF DEATH is, it is amazing to see the sequel turned out so good. There are tons of great fights and martial artists. Plus, this version contains the greenhouse fight between Lee (actually a double) and Casanova Wong that is missing from the Universe release.
Extras
Extras include two GAME OF DEATH II trailers (a new one and the original one) plus trailers for the other titles in this DVD release wave (THE PRODIGAL SON, THE YOUNG MASTER, ROYAL WARRIORS and OPERATION SCORPIO).
Packaging
This is a nice sleeve, even if it over emphasizes the role of Bruce Lee. People who are expecting Lee through out the entire film will be disappointed though.
